What are you giving birth to?

I hope you had a wildly productive week.

My week was filled with disruptions. Good disruptions that is.

You may recall, the main topic of discussion in last week’s reflection was market disruptions and how you are being a disruptor. Well, my disruptor was finally born on Tuesday, September 11, 2019. He has literally taken my world by storm and adding greater significance to an already unforgettable day.

I had the beautiful opportunity to experience every moment of his birth. Let me tell, you giving birth is no joking matter. But my daughter was a real trooper having endured 32 straight hours of active labor.

As I reflect on the events of last week, I can’t help but to think about the things I’ve given birth to and the process I've gone through to achieve great end results. I’ve given birth to my children, my businesses, new ideas, new teams, new relationships and my creative writing.

None of it was easy and there were certainly times when I wanted to quit but realized everything I wanted out of my life, everything I wanted for my family, every dream I wanted to materialize every bit of impact I want to make on the world all require me to trust and stick with the process. Glory always comes at the end.

So, I ask you.

What are you giving birth to?

Last year, I gave birth to my first book. I say first because there are several other seeds planted in me that are growing. One day I will give birth to those also.

Giving birth to Beyond The Plateau: Five Simple Steps To Scale Your Way To A Million Dollar Business was no easy endeavor. It took planning, understanding who my reader would be, leveraging my resources to ensure what I was writing made sense to my reader, considering venues where the book would be showcased, and engaging a superb team of experts to design, edit and publish the book. It was a process that took months (actually years because I had to commit to actually writing the content).

Once I committed to the process and resolved myself to endure, a great book materialized. Today, we've sold hundreds of copies, the book has literally traveled the world from the US to Canada to Africa to Australia, we've trained several business owners on the concepts, and now contracting to deliver the content to several entrepreneurship groups along the Eastern seaboard.

Birthing something great, like a million dollar business, requires strength, endurance, perseverance, and commitment. There's no magic wand that will make your millions appear. There's no real short cut either.

However, there is a pathway to success.

But here's the thing. The average small business in the United States gives up just before they build momentum. In fact, only 9% of the 30,000,000 businesses achieve that success. But why is that?

There's one answer. They failed to consult the experts. They failed to follow a proven process. They failed to focus on the things that mattered most in their business. They aborted the mission before they could give life to their ideas.

But that's not you.

I know your dreams of freedom, flexibility, and financial security. I know your desire to make an impact in the world. I know you want to leave a legacy for generations to come.

How do I know that?

Because I am you. When I started my business 22 years ago, I wanted all of those things also. After following the steps and doing everything required to build a million dollar business, I achieved that success. Not only did I become part of the 9% club, I surpassed the million dollar mark. And now, I teach others how to follow a simple process and pathway to achieve millions.

So, If I can do it, so can you.
